Any last minute tips for my SVA at Beverley on Tuesday????
Spent all weekend in the garage and have just finished now - midnight and still bits to do.......And couldn't get Monday off work!
Pat.....
P.S. God help me!!!!!!!
Don't worry about it mate, whats the worst that can happen? deportation?
Best of luck mate.
We have our SVA on the 20th and I'm wondering if you wouldn't mind taking some photo's of the SVA friendly things you have on the front
of the car.
And once again, best of luck.
Did you get it to self centre?
Cheers guys.
Car currently in garage with no wheels on it, no bonnet, no nose cone and oil and tools all over the floor - late night tonight I think!
Will take some pics of SVA ready car when I get a mo!
Pat....
I'm sure you will be ok. Car looks great (red body black wheels, same as me)!
Good luck......
I've just taken my speedo sensor off my car for him!
How unlucky must you be to break it the night before your SVA test? Don't worry Pat, its in the car

Looks good to me, it'll pass no problem
Seriously, best of luck to you.
FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL FAIL.
But only on emissions and the bloody speedo is faulty - sticks at 30mph and jumps straight up to 40mph.
Pat....
Not so bad...
... soon get through!
rgds,
David
They not going to deport you then?
No, sorry Viper, still here.
Having trouble contacting greengauges - they don't seem to answer the bloody phone. Just need to try and sort the speedo. Trying to borrow a gas
analyser.
The inspector did make a comment about the steering rack mounts being borderline fail as they flex when you turn the wheel - tiger engineering!!!
Pat....
Not insured yet, so can't MOT it. Hopefully borrowing a gas analyser so can twiddle myself. Just got to get in touch with greengauges, but they
don't seem to answer the phone.

Try an e-mail to greengauges - I got an answer the next day. They were very helpful after that.

Gotta say Pat, the car is looking mighty fine, whats the trim you have used along the sides of the cockpit?
Tim
one very nice looking car, be proud.
Very smart. Like the colour coding, especially the exhaust. What have you used for the stone guards?
Must be anoying as nearly a pass, but only two items to concentrate on.
On the road soon!!!
Cheers guys.
Viper - side covers are fibreglass. Done on the car with plently of cling film and a fair bit of filler and rubbing smooth - do the job though.
Lightning - stone guards are only boy racer stick on c/f film. Will do for now!
Nearly failed on the steering rack as the SVA guy said the mountings needed a cross brace as they flex when cornering and are badly designed......

I thought that too and strengtened mine. The lateral load is only taken on 1" bar welded at 90 degrees. Didnt seem enough
Welded in tie also in flat bar.
rack mounts...thats something i wil have to look at then...nothing surprises me when Tiger have have had a hand in it....
Unlucky.
Have you got a retest date yet?
No re-test date yet.
Need to speak to greengauges and get my emissions sorted. Trying not to insure the car for as long as possible so makes it awkward to sort them
out.
Hopefully late next week......
We shall see....
Pat...
VIPER - you need to weld a bar or plate between the mounts, unless you come up with a real solution like your 'bones!
