rear lights and side repeaters. how to?
daniel mason - 20/11/10 at 04:40 PM

have finally got my car on its wheels today and out of the garage for the first time, so tomorrow im going to fit rear arches and mount my rear lighting clusters.
1; is there a set position on the arch for the side, brake and repeater?
2;is there a set position on the rear tub for fog + reverse lights?
3;i have the clear side repeaters from my honda s2000 donor, so where is the best place to mount these on the car (iva ok) my last mnr went through sva with them on the scuttle!

Hi Dan

Here is the Westfield link:

The westfield diagram is neat and explains all the light positions but it refers to the SVA (ie prior to April 09).

The only IVA change was that side repeaters require to be seen from 5 degrees out from directly behind the edge of the car - so if you put them on the scuttle, they will not comply as they will be obscured by the rear arches.

I put mine on the side of the rear arches - but be aware that they need to be less than 2600mm from the front of the car.

The westfield drawing is very clear, but a bit misleading - it states the position of the foglight to be between 250mm and 1000mm - the lines drawn on the pic are not at these measurements!

The bottom of the rear bodywork is 260mm above the ground, my foglight bottom edge is at 320mm, whilst 1000mm is just below the top of the roll-over bar!

Sorry, Daniel - the answer to your question should heve been a simple - "yes".
