iva and Front Shocks
FrankP - 9/5/10 at 10:35 AM

Hi,

I have now worked through my IVA fail list and am at the last 2 bits one of which is the edges on the front shocks adjusters.

I was thinking of puting a couple of bits of motor bike inner tube over the edges. Would this be OK?

But does anyone else have any pics or suggestions on ways to sort this?

Thanks

Frank

When I did the SVA I used remote control car tyres over the adjusters. Rubber, squishy and looked permanent.

Do you mean the spring seats or the damper adjusters.

For the spring seats it was something like this:-

and for the shock adjusters some of these:-

I wrapped some conduit around the top and bottom of the shocker, and put a tie wrap through the ends to hold it in place, see the pic, Rescued attachment behind the shocks covered for the IVA.jpg

I did the same as Dunk3 and passed no problem. Mark at Mac#1 advised me of this solution, he calls it the cock ring solution!
