got a wee row from the cops the other day about my plates being too small. after going round every plate place in the city, nobody does sticker
plates
anyone know of a good place to get them?
haven't got any links, but from previuos topics, plenty of places on the interweb
if you got in trouble for small plates youll probably get in trouble for sticky plates too
really? i asked him about them he said they were okay... problem is the non sticky ones in legal size are wider then the nosecone...which would just look silly
Not sure about the current position, but the law used to be different in Scotland from England about where you could get your plates from.
No plates have to have the BSI number on them and stick-on plates don't meet the BSI standard so aren't legal.
If you've already pushed your luck with small illegal plates is it a good idea to replace them with more illegal ones?
adrian
rally cars seem to get away with all sorts, and they've all got to be road legal haven't they?
I cut down my legal plate as much as I could to keep all relevent info
Description
What size plates did you actually have?? I would have thought you could argue a case for having the smaller motorbike size font (64mm characters) that certain imported cars use as kit cars dont have whole type approval and the standard larger plate may restrict airflow to the radiator / get ripped off the front.
Ahh nice to see the boys in blue are on the ball as usual.
They need you to have bigger plates so they can see when a camera nicks ou for speeding you see.
However the lack of a rear fog light and someone running up your arse in fog because of that fact is OK
You are taking the p*ss a bit though with the size of the front one
yea, it was meant to be a bit of a 'f**k you' cause i hate the whole id badge of the numberplate these days...
i do have a rear fog-its just clear
