Hi,
one one of the points i failed on last week was that the front cycle wings were not forward enough i.e the front of the wing is to be in from of the
rim- they failed by 10mm ! Now there is probably no chance of getting them off without breaking them as the chap who built most of the car has glued
them on ( i think). Do you reckon if i used some large trim to fatten the front of the wing up past the rim it would be ok for SVA?

Yep, make some extensions from some stuck on plastic sheet. Other people have done it and it seemed to work!
Should be OK. Alternatively, some people have fixed extensions on - a bit like a small mudflap but at the front, if you see what I mean. If you put them on with not very permanent glue (hot glue gun?) you can take them off afterwards
Could you stick some tough plastic material under the front of the wing, sticking out forward? If you could find some firm rubber material you could even call it a safety feature!
Borrow some 13" wheels for SVA, the measurement is to the rim, those massive wheels and skinny tyres have pushed you over the edge.

Just wondering what rim size they are?
If 17 inch alloys on at moment could you borrow some 15 inch rims and be OK?
I could be miles off!

Borrow smaller wheels for a few hours?
Yep, they are mahooosive
15's would fix it save the glue and introducing new edges
i will see what i can sort with the trim first as dont know anybody with any wheels - reckon it will be quite easy to sort! managed to sort 4 out of the 28 points on my SVA to do list tonight which is all good and productive!

ebay will have loads of cheap wheels. as long as the tyre rting is ok, it doesn't matter if the tyres are bald, unlee you plant ot drive to centre in whcih case not too clever.
