Can buckle type 4 point harnesess be used for sva ?.

Negative. CE marked buckle type only to be on the safe side...
Someone on here the other week said that his had passed with aircraft - type buckles, as they could be opened in one movement with one hand - they
were Luke harnesses iirc.
To be on teh safe side, I've gone for the push button ones....

Schroth do (or used to at least) an FIA approved harness which has a button style release. Assuming it has the correct E/EC markings on it, from my understanding this would go through an SVA. Might be worth looking for a set of those.
Mine passed with these last year, and i've got them on the newbuild too.
think it all depends on where you go for sva
ps they only have FIA dates on them 2013 i think.

Joe,Chris Mason has just purchased a couple of sets 4 point Schroth harnesess with the correct buckle to pass mot/sva at a good price,might be worth sending him a u2u .

sva manual says E mark is only one of the accepted markings, there's planty of others. and as long as the release can be undone with one hand, in a single move then its fine. no where does it say aircraft buckles aren't allowed. and yes, people have passed with them
