Hi
I found you can make your own VIN number up, but just don't tell the DVLA it's made up.

Schhhhh don't tell anyone, but what I did was tell the DVLA that my number was issued by the Roadster builders club.
And that's what is stamped on my chassis.
They checked the number on there database and said yup that's OK.

go for shortes VIn - fewer digits = lighter. also if the VIn is already allocate, you then would append antoehr digit or two.

I too have a 0 which has now become a O and it was issued by DVLA.
