you could always fit a spacer between the cylinder and the bulkhead, You'd just need to lengthen your push rod by a few mm too.
looks like a spacer could be easiest
unless someone got a better idea?
if you have, had to question it, then in your mind you think that it's not ok. i would make a spacer for it and im sure the sva tester would
suggest the same.
i dont think it would fail but it would definatly get a mention.
it will be a lot easier to make a 2p spacer now rather than fail the sva still have to make a spacer and then pay for a retest.

remove the reservoir and use a rubber hammer and hit a dent in the fire wall to allow it to have a small gap between them
it's up to you. hit it if it's only just touching the firewall to make a clerance. just a thought....

I would go with relieving the bulkhead with a ball pean hammer myself
My resevoir touched so I pulled it off and turned it around.
It then fitted perfectly !
Mine touched so I cut a (bigger) hole in the bulkhead (well, it was full when I decided to do something about it, and removing it didn't figure
in my list of "fixes")
