Hi Ricki,
They are on the wrong way round. The bit sticking out at the bottom needs to be towards the rear of the car.
Swap nearside and offside and you'll be ok.
When it comes to fitting your disc brake callipers, you'll notice that the bleed nipple is almost underneath. On the Viento this is normal. You
will need to swing the caliper upwards when bleeding the brakes, making sure the bleed nipple is at the highest point. Once bled, swing back down and
fix etc.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Dave.

They will fit either way round.
Mine are fitted as yours are now.
I found that the hand brake cable is eaiser to route but the calipers are the opposite side from the sierra (lhs caliper fitted to the rhs).
Check with a few other owners and decide for yourself before you change them.

Mine are also the same way round as yours...
Some people say that the other way round works better for the hand brake cable others say its not a problem..
As my rear end is finished I cant be bothered to swap them but have not yet fitted the handbrake cable!
Paul
( this is the same way round as the pictures on the build CD )

Hmmmm
If it is only because of the handbrake cable then I think I will leave alone for the time being and see what its like once the calipers are fitted.

I have mine that way round as well for ease of routing the handbrake cable - it just means that you have to turn the calipers upside down to bleed
them.

The way you have them may well cause problems with the handbrake route.
I fitted mine as per the Luego demonstrator (see pic of demonstrator) Not had much luck with posting pics so I hope it works.
Fitting the cable eye onto the caliper lever was a real fight.
Doing it the opposite way to yours gives an easier bend on the cable and more room to work at the caliper. I guess it may well come down to the length
of your cable.
Anyway, best of luck whichever way you tackle it.

Testing;
viento rear brake demonstrator
Hooray!! it worked (one small step for man etc)
This is a pic of the rear brake setup on the luego demonstrator.
Might be of some use.
Cheers
