Velocity Floor

Need some help from you Velocity owners. I have mounted my Cobra seats but there seems to be a fair bit of flex in the floor. I have made up some ally blocks to mount the runners on but the floor bows and flexes when you move the seat. How have people mounted the seats and has anyone felt the need to strengthen the floor?

thanks
Dave B.

I’ve got an ali floor in mine so needed to weld a couple of strips into the chassis as shown in the photo. I have also got a set of 4 matching strips witch will be on the underside of the car when the seats are bolted in, this should spread the load nicely. Rescued attachment floor.jpg

Rather than use a pile of washer to space up the seats I used a bit of 20 x 30 rectangle box across in the same position, that strenthened the floor.

I suppose it depends if you have the room / height to play with.
