What did you do today?

Well I spent the day in the garage, and did this (Covered the Tunnel in Red).

The red leatherette goes well with the black. Just need to finish it off.

It went well for a change

Ive spent a full 24 hours in the garage over the last 3 days.

been working on my new chassis. Very pleased.

I decided that I could apply what I had learned on the first and avoid the mistakes.

From nothing to this in 3 days

With a lot of help from my friends, I finally got my freshly rebuilt engine reconnected to the gearbox, and installed back into the car.

I've started plumbing and wiring it back together, but its going to be a couple more evenings work before it finally fires up again. However, after 2 years off the road, its a joy to be heading in the right direction again ...

Cheers
Richard

Thursday:
Fitted tank properly,
Trimmed/fitted rear firewall panel.

This weekend:

Cut exhaust hole in bonnet.
Removed nosecone bonnet rubber and replaced with thinner stuff.
Made and fitted tunnel sides and top cover.
Fitted drivers seat.
Fell asleep in driver's seat (comfy these Cobras! )

Failed to bleed brakes.

Drove car anyway!

Cheers,
James
