Does this mean that you will be attending some shows this year. I just about to send of the booking forms this week.
Well done.

Fully agreed.
Also Eyes are difficult to replace, so use a full face helmet, or ballsitic grade protective glasses as a minimum. Ordinary Sunnies are NOT good
enough (wear them under your helmet if you must).
Hit a bee at 70Mph and it could be enough to eject your eyeball from the socket or burst it. Not Nice at all, Dont go there!
I got my helmet from the BMF Bike Show at Peterborough. Plenty to try on before you buy, as you dont want something uncomfortable on your head.
Having an uncomfortable Helmet does not make for pleasurable driving!
Also got a decent bike jacket and gloves there all for good prices.
Hope to see you at one of the shows this year.
Well done, it looks a nice car.
EDIT:
Usual Warning:
Take it easy until you have learned how your car handles. You dont want to be doing a Summer Rebuild just after getting it on the road.
These are FUN cars to drive, but they can bite back and hard!

Thanks for all the positive response and advice
I will be using either a full face helmet when it is really cold and on long trips or the bullet proof eyewear googles swmbo bought me for christmas
when it warms up and and I go for little blasts...

Hi,
can I ask how you managed a 59 plate with a used engine/box etc? Just wondering if I can do the same!
Cheers.

ALL NEW Parts and one refurbished part (the engine) will get you a New Reg.
You just need a Large handful of reciepts for the new parts.
A Donor car with a V5, and used most of the parts from that will get you an Age Related Reg.
No V5, and secondhand parts / and you will get a Q plate.
Q plates are NOT a problem on Kit cars. It just denotes its of not any traceable /provable year.
I had all the parts from a Donor, that a guy stripped, but he kept the V5 as he had to dispose of the shell.
So I got a Q plate. Its not been a problem in the last 3 years.
