In the third picture we see you dropping the diff in some kind of mount.

I would weld a horizontal V (out of Tube)
to that tube. 500Bhp isn't killing it!

Its the torque that will kill it.
Sow beefing it up isn't luxeury

Have to concur with the boys - Now is the time to add a little weight penalty to avoid something tearing (literally) later. Firstly, IMHO, that doesn't look like a LV350 chassis. In the picture I've added from memory the bars I though were in the LV350 (in thin red lines - the floor pan ones seamed all their length to the pan) and in thick lines the bars I'd add to give you some front section stiffness.

once again, I jump with excitement, but surely it would be better to just strap some wheels to the engine.

I'm sure you could fashion some brackets to hole the wings on, you don't need a windscreen, seats mights be a problem, but just an engineering challange!!!.

That engine is giagantic !!!!!! makes my v8 look like a sowing machine.!

Just out of interest how you gonna fashion a bigger tank

Are you planning wider rear arches to take the monster rear tyres it will need to put that horsepower down?

i will be getting it looked at by a friend who will add some strenth where needed, but we need to get engine in to see what space we got to play with, rear diff mounting need looking at for sure.

Thanks for the lines i can see exactly what you mean and we had already been talking about most of those so it good to see were thinking right. You say the diagonal bars on the floor pan are seamed the full length whats your opinion on doing all the floorpan welds seamed full length?

Now im home from wor were going to pop the engine in after a quick makeshift fit up of the section you suggest that goes above the bellhousing to make sure it will still go in with it there and then defo have that done if it does.

More pics tonight i would assume lol

Thinking about it - I do get a lot of flex in my floor which would be helped by seaming all the cross bars and by putting some 5mm steel section across where the seats attached.

For the sake of a few grams of weld I'd stitch it as tightly together as you can! Last thing we want is you and BJ on here with a picture of you both sat looking sad in the rear of your car on the starting line whilst the front makes a bold attempt at the first corner!!!

I've found the thread I was on aboout. It's here. It's based on 1" x 16 swg tubing, so your's should be up on that already, but the knee bars, and over engine barcing ar bits you may wish to look at. Liam managed to get a figure of 5000 lbft/degree IIRC.

I'd deffo do what you can over top of front of box, and I'd sheet as much of tunnel as poss.

i think i may be able to drop the engine another couple of inches, the sump is pretty much level with the chassis at the moment, and if i use a seat with a bit more base i think it will be fine, fingers crossed

this will be interesting to see once its finished, likeing the idea of 0-60 in 1 gear

cant wait to see/hear a video of it running

but will you ever beable to get all that power to the ground? maybe for the next V10 7 you might need to go for awd to get the power to the ground

what kind of transmission would you be thinking of using to get awd? something out of a 4x4 could work since weight isnt that much of an issue if your edging on 1000bhp

best to keep it a bit simpler for the moment i guess as im sure its going to be hard as it is to get it all to work with out complicating it with extra driveshafts and stuff

Is there any way you can extend the gear lever further back. Looking at the pics (albeit not 100% easy to tell) it looks like the finished gearlever will be under the dash
