ordered my viento this morning

Hi everyone, new here but i think over the next few months you could get to know me well, i'm BIG JOHN, i should be at the stoneleigh show with a rolling chassis in the owners section, if anyone is going i will see you there, i will be the one with a crowd round my car, it is going to be a bit of a show stopper even as a rolling chassis i hope!!!!!, i'm having my engine shipped straight to dean (new luego owner)so he can mock up the install ready for stoneleigh, it will be turning up under a sheet, hope to get a couple of mags on standby for the sheet coming off, trust me it will get noticed, this engine has never been used before as far as i know in a 7 style car, have only ever seen one of these engines in one cobra replica.

Welcome to Locostbuilders Big John. I am intrigued as to what engine you are planning on using.... I will be at Stoneleigh, so I will pop over and find out for myself! Good luck with your build.

i ordered the engine yesterday ( cutting it fine for stoneleigh ) and it should be at heathrow by about next friday, the salvage company in america are listing the mileage as just 391, not sure on engine year but i think it will be about a 2006 engine, it is a standard production engine.

if it turns up at heathrow on friday it will be with dean on friday, gives him 2 weeks to get a rolling chassis

i think when it is built i could have a problem with traction, i'm hoping to run toyo 888's all round 295/30 18 on the back and maybe 255 on the front,

have measured the viento and the engine should fit!!!, 500hp and 525Ibft, if its the later engine its 510 and 535 but i don't think thats going to make much difference.
