JGG's Progress on mr Bumble.

Well its still going a bit slower than I would like, I have been trying to get the exhaust finished so that I can fit the bonnet before going to Stafford this week ( too long a trip with an unfitted bonnet me thinks, even on a trailer). So I thought I would give you all a heads up on where I've got to.

With the wonderful help of TrevD (thank you indeed Trev) I got some side finishers made to go between the wheel arches and the sides like this :-
Nearside
Nearside finisher
Nearside finisher

nearside finisher from front
nearside finisher from front

nearside finisher better angle
nearside finisher better angle

and offside
Offside finisher
Offside finisher

This has allowed me to fit the rear arches and wire in the light fittings
Rear arches fitted
Rear arches fitted

Also for the past week I have been progressing with the exhaust manifold from this :-
Exhaust started
Exhaust started

to this point
exhaust from back
exhaust from back

exhaust from front
exhaust from front

exhaust from side
exhaust from side

and yes from a purist point the are not all EXACTLY the same length, however they have all ended up with about an inch or just over being the difference in length and whilst perfect balance in length is desirable, it is not totally necessary and the difference in the bend angles will have an effect albeit slight. so it should not be too bad when finished. It took me ages to get the joint faces tight and get all the pipes pointing in the right direction. I now have to get the pipes seam welded and then I can fit the collector and pipe to exhaust box (and then polish).

So there you have it work goes on. I am now getting down to a finishing list.
Fit bonnet.
Fit ordered Seats (when they arrive, probably after next weekend)
Fit Seat belts
Fit cooling fan
Rear decking & boot lid.
Tyres & paint rims.
Front Grille
Possibly fit Speedo healer
Trim out for SVA
Put paper work in.

And its only been 4 years.
