Have I got my Carb on backwards..

Spent several days searching the web and have found as many carbs the same way round as mine as carbs on the other way round ( hope that makes sense)..

Is mine backwards ?

Does it matter ?

Do I care at this stage of the build ?

When will I post the SVA forms that are sat on my desk ?

Paul

Ps old pic of engine and carb.. Rescued attachment sep06 005.jpg

if it slopes one way, i think the lowest part is supposed to be at the front of the engine. i think...

Makes no odds really, but they usually come built up with mixture screws to the front like that

Edelbrock isn't upsidedown so it must be good no

The Edelbrock carb is the old Carter, used on Chrysler high performance engines in the sixties. The throttle linkage should be on the left side if viewed from the drivers seat, automatic choke if fitted should be on the right (near side). This was due to the fact the engines were use in left hand drive vehicles and the shortest distance to the throttle pedal, as well as the kick down linkage for the automatic transmission. Hopes this helps.

Your carb is fitted correctly.

It will only matter with certain inlet manifolds where the primary throttles send fuel into different channels than the secondaries
