hi guy's
been shoping yesyerday and got the rear discs and hand brake cable but i cant get the cable to fit it is a standed sierra disc hand brake cable i
spoke to ben(@luego) and he recons it should fit but must be doing something wrong as it apears to be about 2/3 foot to long
advice or picks would be brill tar
chears jim
if it's anything like an MK, chop it in the middle and rejoin it with cable cleats.
i know others say you should use the grub screw ends but i've had 2 of them drop off other cables. my handbrake cables haven't slipped
once.

I fitted the cable and decided how much it needed to be shortened by took it to a local company that makes control cable assemblies and they cut and crimped on another end piece for about £5 while I waited. IMHO it looks more professional and should be no chance of it slipping.
i brought one from Westfield - it was a bit pricey but means that i did not cut it - its still on one piece so no worry about it failing... plus it
fits a charm.
you can buy it on line.
i too brought a sierra one, but as you found out, its way too long, and it will not fit as it is...

Cut the crimp off one end of the cable and retain the crimp - shorten the cable as required. Drill out the remains of the cable in the crimped end you cut off and retained, stick the end of the shortened cable in there and re-crimp it with a good punch...add a touch of MIG weld and it's bullet proof.
