which way should they face - front or back?

Agree, it's not important, especially on the back as they do next to nothing anyway.

Bleed nipples on my Luego rear hubs (sierra rear discs) are upside down - have to take caliper off to bleed it - not a real problem. Calipers are at the rear of the hubs.

Mine went on the back, nice straight run across the car for brake pipes, handbrake cable curls up and over towards diff.

Just had to remove, invert and gravity bleed when first installed.

Each to his own, it makes no difference in operation.

In an ideal car most of the weight should be contained within the wheelbase, so for the rear brakes fit them on the front of the discs. It has no effect on the brake performance where you locate them.

well, i put the calipers facing the back of the car last night ( before i sent the post ) as i wanted the calipers to be at the back. However this means that the brake lines goes behind the shock, and it would mean the hand brake cable has to go through alot of curves ,

so i think ill swap them over and have the calipers at the front.

I mounted mine to the front due to my handbrake cables routing. The nipples ended up on the bottom so I have to remove them when bleeding but its not a problem to do that.
