Colud anyone let me know the approx sizes of the Viento engine bay.
I am considering buying a kit and would like to fit a Alfa V6. Got the engine and bellhousing/gearbox ready to go but just need to make sure it will fit before i spend seroius cash. Spoke to luego and they said it would be no problem but didn't give any dimensions.

I have a rover V8 in mine... bags of space. Their new LV350 has a 5.7 Chevvy V8 in it...
Viento is built for V8's and Straight 6's.
Grant (Luego) usually knows what will and will not go.

Its BIG engine bay, designed for the Larger Engine (and Driver / Passenger)

Have a look on my archive, and my website.
my archive has loads of piccys of Luego's v8 demonstrator as well.

Had a look a the photos, looks real cool, as you say there seems to be plenty of room. The bell housing i am using is a conversion from a front wheel drive it may not be as neat as yours . Is there a fair bit of space at the front , so i can move the whole lot forward if i have to.

..I've just measured mine for a colleague at work. They are very rough dimensions probably +/- 2cm as I did it very quickly!

Hope this helps Rescued attachment engine bay dims.JPG

Thanks for the info, just made some rough measurement and it looks as if there's plenty of room front to back, but i may have to alter the existing sump a bit. total height is around 700 mm. But i can fit a sump form another engine to give me a total of about 650mm.That should be ok.

Last time I was down at Luego Matt got the tape measure out and concluded that my V12 jag engine would fit in a Viento chassis

Had a Jag 4.2. Great car but if you fitted that in the Viento you would need a trailer to put all the electrics in.
