if I was in a silly mood I would say, to identify the chassis, its the big metal bit made up of tubes.
Does that help?

No, but my +442 does:

(Extra bits are for fuel tank supports )

That the same as my live axle luego chassis except for them rear top tube supports. Mine are wider apart. virtually the same as the book.

I compared the front of my chassis with a westfield and they look very very similiar if not the same.

Triton on here used to run Triton Motorsport, they were based around the Northampton area and used to make chassis based on the book locost. They had no connection with Luego as far as I'm aware, but at one point they were involved with Darren George (GTS) but I don't think that worked out for them.

There are differences in all 3 chassis backends pictured - your (OP) chassis looks most like the last lot (of pics)though...

Rear of a Luego has the seat belt mountings on the horizontal part of the Roll Bar. ie Seat belt mountings are directly in line with the holes in the seats and are an integral part of the bar.
Your chassis has them mounted on the top rail of the chassis, and is not a Luego Chassis (IMHO). See all 3 Luego Models below. All have the same seat belt fixing method for the top fixings.

Thanks to Piddy (for the pic)... its his car, but all Luegos are the same in this area.

Its a Luego Velocity:

its an old thread, but i have a new question:

could you please check the following picture if the chassis looks like a Luego?

Look at your top seat belt mounting points, as Geoff points out the Velocity, Locost and Viento chassis's all had them mounted on a separate bar at the correct height . I haven't seen a live axle'd Luego Locost , it may be a very early chassis. Wait until the powder coating falls off, that will tell you if it's a Luego chassis

alfas - 26/7/13 at 08:20 PM

the seat belt mounts are vertically on the top horizontal rail of the chasssis, perfectly matching with the belt slots in the Cobra seats.

as you see the chassis is from 2001 and still like new (ok..it was only used for a few hundred of miles)
