hi,
how much would a high quality built velocity be able to sell for without an SVA?
With that much detail how long is a piece of string.

True... I've seen lengths of string from 20" to 40" over the years.
i was kinda looking for a serious answer.
pictures of the build are in my archive, and i have been on here for years so people should know what im building and whats gone in to it.

Well give more detail. Engine, Dash, Wheels, etc etc etc

Usually around 33", although some of them can be quite a bit shorter
Also you will need to explain why it doesn;t have an SVA, or conversely what work/parts will be needed before it can be tested.
If you really are thinking of selling you are going to have to come up with quite a bit of detail for the advert, so you might as well start now.
Also, posting a pic or three of where you;ve got to now would be better than asking people to trawl through your photo archive

Ian,
After getting to the stage you are at, why sell without an SVA.
I am sure that everyone will tell you to get it booked in....it will be worth a whole lot more.
I have a feeling that a fully SVA'd and registered will be worth a slight premium come 1st of April too, when IVA comes in.
It looks so close, why not finish off.
Value is usually less than the component parts, although unfair that's the way of things expecially with the current economic climate and
christmas on its way

At a guess and seeing what others have been fetching recently I would say about £3,500 to £4000.
You seem to be able to get a really good finished '7' for about £5000ish. There was an MNR on here that sold for mid £4K's I think and
it was full of excellent parts etc.

Just my thoughts.
Whats it worth? As much as someone will pay .
What will you get for it? Probably not what its worth.
With an SVA it would likely fetch a lot more?
Not what you want to hear but maybe worth finishing for SVA as others have already suggested.
To be fair, the car looks mint... You would be so much better off to get the SVA, get it registered and then sell it.
Also, It will see for a lot more in the spring when the weather is picking up and people are thinking about sunshine rather than snow...

I reckon you'd still make more on the sale even if you paid someone to get it SVA'd for you. It looks pretty much ready to go now and in the advent of IVA it seems a no-brainer to me to get it through while the going's good.
