Another mid engined car.
Thought you might like to see this one. Built a few years ago, SVA tested and never used for 3 years. Also have a hillclimb/sprint version. Again
hardly used.

Whew! That IS a big picture!
A very interesting car. I imagine that it is similar to what Dominic has in mind for his clubman design? What is the powerplant? And why didn't
you drive it more? !!!
Do you have any more photos? But maybe make them smaller first? (or email them to me and I can scale them and email you back.)
The mid-engine builders are coming out of the woodwork!

I have a side picture that Graham sent me, but I'd sooner wait and give him the chance to post it first....remind later if he doesn't.

My 13 year old son has assured me that if you click on the link you should see them.
Ford 2300cc engine, 4 speed transaxle and very light car make for super performance.

Wow - that was a shock. That didn't look like what I expected at all! I'm impressed.
So how did you make the bodywork? and where did you get the transaxle from?

I love it, and would like to know aaall the details about it. It's the first self built, finished, mid engined car I see which has nothing to do
with a Le Mans bodywork. Oh and BTW, any others you may know please tell me! It's absolutely lovely, I wonder how difficult it would be to turn
it into a real Locost inspired one, that is, cheap and ugly body panels that just do the job.

Extremely impressed! You are right, the first photo gave no hint that it would have such an interesting body style.
I would love to know more about the mechanical details... Maybe some piccies of what lies beneath? Longitudinal 4 banger... Racing gearbox?

That thing looks like a blast. A very good translation of 'Seven' into mid-engine config. I want to know where the radiators are... I
can guess...

Interesting body shape. It appears to be very well constructed.
I too am interested in what lies beneath the skin. I can see a hewland nose cone sticking out the back, but is it a Hewland box or a VW trans, or?
I asume by your forum name that there's a rotary on board, Mazda?
Please let us have more details.
Cheers, Rorty.

Thanks for all your interest and kind words regarding my project. It was designed in 1994 to be a car capable of taking on all types of
"seven" variants in competition. It was my seventh build so it I tried to keep the "seven" look. Not easy in a mid engine
layout! I put a lot of effort into it so that it would be very quick in sprints, hillclimbs and races. All the parts were built in early 1995 but I
got sidetracked into running a race team using BMW M3s until 1998. I then got involved in GT racing, Venturi LM600, 550bhp mid engine beast, and as a
result it took until 1999 to get my project into a position that I could offer them to a customer. Alas by this time most other manufacturers started
to go the one make raciing route and I was tired out, there was only two of us plus some friends involved, trying to keep up with the legislators,
product liability insurance men and everyone else that was taking money out of the project. In 2000 I decided to stop and return to having fun
playing with cars.
Some Technical details.
Spaceframe chassis with stressed alloy tub inside
Double wishbone suspension, inboard at front, out board at rear.
Inline engine VW or Hewland transaxle.
Side radiator.
I have used Ford RS 200016v for comp car and Ford 2300cc 16v for road car.
Hope this helps.
