Rear calipers for riot / J15 & wheel sizes
A bit like my last post....can anyone confirm that these (see below) are the calipers recommended by Sylva for the rear brakes?.

Also, do these fit under a 13inch rim?. I'm trying very hard to keep weight to a minimum, so would perfere to go 13" for the wheels....

Hi Mate,
these are the ones that Jeremy recommended to me but I do know that he has never fitted them onto any of his cars. The V6 Sierra rear caliper with the
handbrake lever fits under 14 inch rims, but i'm not sure about 13's.
The bigger problem you have for clearance is the mounting bolt for the rear upright. It acutally catches the balance weights on one set of 14 inch
rims i tried, and only just misses on the set i now have.
Paul Collingwood (not the cricketer) runs 13 inch rims on his race car. Probably worth speaking to him/Jeremy to find out how that is set up.

I had a nad still have a s/h set of Golk MK 4 rears which definately do not fit. The brakes are Hytdra OEM which look si,ilar but are bigger and are
the main reason you cannot fit 13" wheels. Converting to MK 4 does not look easy.

Hummmm...again, I think I'm better off waiting until I can do some measurements. I have the same image from Jeremy, but was going to pillage
some cars at the local scrapyard........!Need to think about this one....

Hi
Thats what i fitted but with 15 inch wheels, escort mk 2 discs, needed one washer on the mounting bolts, think Jeremy fitted them to the J15 that went
to the States with the hyabusa.

Sierra rear calipers fit under my 13" CXRs - The springs are now swapped for shorter ones.

sierra calipers fit under my 13" minators, the rally design hydra calipers did not because of the fins

I have fiesta front hubs at the rear of my mid. Those calipers definitely need a 14" wheel!
