Just wondering if there is any xtr2 (type) or jedi (type) full chassis pictures. And if so could you please post or link to them. Thanks.

I guess my car is like an Xtr2. Here is a picture of the chassis. You can find more at www.projectlmp.com

Paul,

Your work is beautiful. I wish I had had the benefit of your website before I started my build. It's a real inspiration.

Thanks!

Well done project LMP!

Just a thought. Are there any plans to triangulate the bottom of the engine bay. It might make a big difference.

I posted the results of tube R variations a while back. It shows how changes affect the book chassis.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. Cymtriks, the chassis in the picture isn't quite complete and the lower engine bay will be triangulated. I haven't done this yet because there isn't much clearance with the engine sump. I was waiting until the engine was mounted before fitting these tubes. Below is a picture with all the missing tubes marked up.

That looks very stiff.

I suppose the front of the engine bay will have a skin of thin gauge steel across it to carry loads in shear.

Are you planning to measure the stiffness in any way?

I reckon you've already bettered the Ultima chassis at about 3300ftlbs per degree.
