Kit car, good for road and track, full cabin
Alez - 13/1/06 at 04:14 PM

ANY??

(Good for road and track as in: you can set the suspension high enough for the road and still have good suspension performance and geometry, you can take it to the track and achieve decent lap times with it, say comparable with track day cars such as Locosts, Furys and the like.)

Cheers,

Alex

"Look, this is the car, it's just like the Honda NSX, but as it's tubes and fiber, it's quite a lot lighter, then it has a lot less stuff, so it's much cheaper and (again) lighter, so better performance. Then not only it's as wide and good looking, but also it's as rigid and performs as good."

That'd be THE dream.

Best wishes for the new year everyone BTW!!! (This is my first post in 2006 ).

Libra? Not that cheap, but can be built as a kit, full cabin, etc.

Ultima???

Aeon?

adampage - 13/1/06 at 04:57 PM

See pistonheads.com, follow autosport international link.

People behind it include zcars and designed with roof & bit of practicality in mind.

Looks pretty cool to me!

Just thought though - looks front engined. Sorry.
Adam.

violentblue - 15/1/06 at 05:42 PM

Razman, Is that a one off?
I love the looks of it, very porschesque without being too porschesque.

too bad it won't be avaliable here in north america.

It is a picture of the buck which will be in production next week (fingers crossed) The original design was criticised in a couple of magazines recently for being a bit 'square' - in fact it was the only crticism and the car won second place in 'kit of the year' or something similar. Coincidentally I was already in the process of remodelling my own car for the last six months and when Aeon Sportscars saw it they asked if they could adopt it as their next model change. It will be offered to all new and existing customers as an option / upgrade. I have already redesigned the rear section but I am not sure if this will also be adopted yet - time will tell

Thank you for the excellent pointers. I knew some already, but now I know a few more thanks to you, and they look really interesting. Also good to revisit some. I've compiled some links in case you may want to revisit any of these cars

GTM Libra: I already knew it, I'll be looking at it more in depth now although it may be too expensive.

Ultima: some day..

Aeon GT2 / GT3 coupe: this one is and has been on my mind for long.
http://www.aeonsportscars.com/
http://www.pistonheads.com/doc.asp?c=112&i=12097

Zolfe Orange: didn't know it! Looks front engined but I'll have a good look to it anyway.

Shelsey T2: didn't know it! And I'm liking it a lot from the first time I'm looking at it.

Saker: I already knew it and it looks superb to me, it's a shame there's not much info on the websites (or at least not much info in English):
http://www.saker.co.nz/
http://www.sakermotorsport.com/

I'm also very impressed by Razman's progress and plans, great job, looking fantastic!

Thank you all for the fantastic replies!

Cheers,

Alex

Any idea of prices for the Minotaur??
http://www.minotaursportscars.co.uk/MK2gallery.htm

Looks sh1t3 to me but surely must look very good in the flesh, the thing is more than 2 m wide!!! Slightly wider than a F40 and a bit lower, too.

Comments on this car??

EDIT-EDIT-->EXPENSIVE

I think the Minotaur is aimed at the upper end of the market. My own personal view is that it doesn't quite pull it off and needs a little more development. Plenty of room for power in the large engine bay if that is your aim.
