I came across this image of my new dream car.
I spent a while searching at www.conceptcarz.com/folder/make.asp, and it seems it's the Bugatti Veyron.
It's probably old hat to all of you...I'm not really a big aficianado of off-the-shelf cars.
I think if I ever build another MEC, I would base the body shape on the Veyron. In fact, I think I'll just go and start drawing it up.....just in
case.

That's a beauty alright:-)
Was featured in a magazine a while back, very nice car indeed, would you just make a look'a'like or are you going for the full 800bhp+? I remember
reading this car has somewhere near that amount of hp:-)
well you got taste in your choice of cars rorty mate,i want one NOW!
I think I'd read 930hp one place and over 1000 somewhere else
IIRC it's a quad turbo W16.....
and reasonably priced too
Agreed though, very nice.
I didn't like it at all

Hey Rorty,
Hmm no clue where to start:-) In itself it is not the most complex shape in the world. Going to be interesting what sort of spaceframe you would make
for this. I think that will be most tricky.
Plenty of engine room so you can put anything in there you want. If a W16 fits anything will fit:-)
They are nice lines aren't they
Rorty,
If you like the style of the Veyron you may also like the Audi Avus concept from 1991 - see
http://www.motorcities.com/contents/02J0G194232324.html for some pics. It's always
been one of my favourites, mostly because of that beautiful polish ali body and strong cab-forward design.
Dominic
Yes, I've always liked the Avus too. Another W12 powered beastie.
Standing still, the Avus and Veyron both look like they're going fast....as if they're putting their shoulder into it.
I fully agree the Avus was gorgous.
Shame Audi group wittled it down to produce the TT - a very poor copy I assume this was the route
Barking mad
Word round the camp fire is that it's 1000Bhp, and good for around 252 MPH, but if you want to do that, you have to call up Bugatti who come out
and change the wheels and tyres on it and remove the limiter. The one possible downside? It's 4wd, although you never hear lambo taking a beating
for that. Oh, and the engine, can't remember the size, but it's definately a quad turbo W16, and looks like a metal shed with turbos stuck
on. Even if you can afford to buy it, you might think twice about fuelling it!!
Incidentaly, it looks even better in blue and black!

My heart has found new affection. I just adore these genre of cars with their hunched up front ends.
I must admit though, I'm not in favour of the "unfinished" rear arch.

Hi Rorty,
I like the look of the "Minority Report" Lexus too. Rumour has it that the "working" car built for the movie (a towable mockup I
expect) was pretty much too small for anyone but Tom Cruise to sit in
The Kit Cra factory have a "replica" of the car underway here
although something is badly wrong with the proportions.
Do a web search for the Lamborghini Bravo show car if you like the cab-forward look. It's not quite as hunch-front as the Bugatti or the
Lexus but it is an elegant shape that would actually be possible to build.
Best regards,
Dominic
I was trying to work out which way round that thing went, the only thing that gave it away was the wing mirrors, and if it hadn't have been for
them, I'd have probably said I was looking at the back. Product placement with products you're never going to produce is just pathetic.
