Hello from the other side of the Pond. I have been working on my mid engine car for 13 months now so i thought i would post a few pictures. The frame
is a completely designed and fabricated by me.
A bit of a background... I am 24 and I have been into sport bikes for about 4 years now. I have just under 10 months left in school and i will have my
Mechanical Engineering degree. I would in the automotive field currently for a french based Tier 1 supplier called Faurecia. Anyways back to
experience... I owned a 2004 Yamaha R6 and logged just over 35,000 miles including many trackdays. I bought a 2005 Yamaha R1 about 2 years ago and i
have put about 10,000 miles and 5 track days on it. My buddy wrecked his 2007 R1 so i parted it out for him (Army and was sent to Iraq) in trade for
the motor. So the motor sat for about a year and a half before i finally decided to start building something with it... well heres the result thus
far!

And here is my latest task... building a chain driven differential utilizing a 2008 Mazda RX8 Torsen differential and Mazda RX7 half shafts. The
differential will be supported by large self aligning pillow block bearings, the outer end of the plates will be sealed with pressed in (machined area
cut out) round axle seals, and the differential will be sealed to make one completely sealed assembly.
I am very much considering welding mounting points to the CV outer tripods and using a set of 2004 Yamaha R6 front rotors and calipers as inboard
brakes.
