As always feedback welcome. The bonnet vents are just photoshopped for now but the grille is made.
Tiki with grille
not my cup of tea those bonnet vents
hmm I'd maybe have gone a different way
Rescued attachment front.jpg
hmm,
I think you should curve the front of the grille to follow the front chassis rail - it looks odd being flat when youve gone to all the trouble of
curving the chassis rails.
I'd also go for an oval/comma or teardrop shape for the vents, rather than the squared look which doesn't sit quite right with the rest of
the curvy design
Just my view

Hugh
Thanks guys...good feedback so far
ever thought of fitting a nose cone? maybe a small pointed one with nascar intakes on the sides...you could even fit a front spoiler as on nitram38’s
old car?
Description

or use a rear one on the front like that nutter Macnab did on his saloon car
(I miss him he was just great equalled Einstein in his genius...no infact he surpassed him by miles )
just look at that below who else could have thought so outside the box as Macnab?!?!

nope, neither of those are nice.
I can't really do it but try horizontal tubes, like the ones already there, for a grille -with the length changing - best I can manage is
below.
For the nose vent, look at the vented Westfield nose cone and utilise that. Again I can't really do that.

What about a curved scoop rather than grills? It may break up the curve of the bonnet and look good.
Steve,
Flat forward edge of bonnet makes it look unfinished. Some sort of grp cowling like a much smaller version of the locost nose would finish it off nicely. BTW that's one mean looking machine.
My idea
Just like the lastest Donkervoort

Similar suggestion ....

Dick, something like that is doable...would have to be in 2 pieces, but would work I think.
Thanks, everyone.
I went for the horizontal bars idea utilising my Tiki logo...I just couldn't face more grp work at the moment...I guess maybe for future.
The two large plates are welded to the frame between the upper and lower front tubes. The bars assembly justs bolts on.
Comments welcome as usual.

Rendering of the bars in position...hopefully it looks mean and purposeful as opposed to pretty...(pretty is fine, but without a lot more grp work it
wasn't going to happen IMO)

Personally i would have put the bonnet vents further up and closer to the driver.

I went ahead and cut the vents.....I think they they turned out better than the photoshopped version...
Ignore the clamps and the grill bars under construction...

looks great now they are cut out for real.
carbon fibre or polished ali trim around the edges would finish it off nicely.
Hey Paul......yeah that's something to consider....I'll have to research what's available here.
I decided that it was just too much like JarJar so I did lower the lights with some new brackets I made. Also found some nice mesh for vents (not
shown).

looking good sovar....would be keen to look at final build cost/spec
