Diff again!

After deciding, to keep the 3.62 open diff M K supplied in a donor package to start off with I cleaned the whole thing up and got it sprayed then fitted it and driveshafts on. Then when in the garage this morning it had 3 D (83BG-AD25-BA) printed on the side am i right in saying that it is actually a 3.92! I will be gutted if it is!

can't you put some paint or pen marks on the input/output flanges and turn it over? if you turn the propshaft input 3.92... times then the output shaft should turn once, should be a very quick check
