Has anyone put a 1.8 cvh in an MK Indy?

If so is it a straightforward installation?

Thanks

Yes, but not sure who. We are also putting the 1.8cvh in, so long as you are aware of it's short commings (poor breathing as the head is optimized for economy). Surrey Dave has one in is locost, it's now running on bike throttle bodys. We have yet to make engine mounts or trial fit the engine yet.. Watch this space Having been in an MK with 88 bhp pinto, I'm happy with the 93 from the CVH for now.

mad4x4 has a xr one in his indy

I believe the 1.8cvh is easier to mount as it has come from an in line situation, but not too much to choose..........

The main problem with this engine is having to put up with many negative comments mostly from people who have not even tried one!!

You may not have to lower the cam cover in an MK Indy as there is a bit more hieght available..... Rescued attachment lcamcover.gif

Westfield built a lot of CVH cars both 1600 and 1800 --- a lot of the owners are now fitting Zetecs so the special CVH bits come up quite often on ebay and elsewhere
