Rubber Mounts
907 - 26/5/05 at 08:56 PM

Hi All,

I was looking the other day for a slightly more robust exhaust mount
than the Mini one I normaly use.

If you go down the local factors you get:

"What car's it off?" or, "Have you got the part number?"

Not a lot of help if your not sure what your after.

So I thought I'd start a thread that has a title that will show up in a search.

Feel free to add what you have used.
It could become a useful reference.

The pic shows:-

Metro engine mount (M10)
Espace exhaust mount (M8)
Mini exhaust mount (5/16 UNF)

Hope this helps someone.

The Espace mount is from a Renault Espace (people carrier thing). Not sure if you have those over in sunny Australia. One of these:

Hi David
thanks for your prompt reply I now know what that is and you are right that we don't get them in Oz . I am how ever not adverse to buying from the UK for the right bits ......
Best wishes

The Espace exhaust mount is made in Holland by Bosal. Their part No is 255-333

I bought 4 from Treadfirst, tyre & exhaust fitters. My local factors sell them as well.

£3 each

Sorry I can't be more help.
