hi i have read a few post about using electrolisis to derust components can anyone explain how to do it or post a working link(the ones i have tried are dead ends)

Make sure you use ONLY Mild Steel for your electrode, DO NOT use stainless or anything with a Chromium content in it.
Its in the notes on that site, so take particular care on that.
There is a big long thread on ELECTROLYSIS in the archives on this site.
Just make sure you are safe!
