have just been offered the oportunity to take a supra of someones hands for not much money at all.

has anyone on here used one as a donor before? what are the things to be wary of?

i havent even seen under the bonnet of a supra before so advice is most welcome

Not sure on which shape you have been offered but I has a E Reg one a few years back with a 7mge engine which was prone to head gaskets going..... and mine did but was a cracking car apart from that.

its a 1990 mk3 3.0 turbo manual. the body is crap but the engine and other mechanicals are supposed to be good. don't know if the engine is big of will fit in a haynes locost?

Yeah the engine is pretty big from memory, probably would be a very tight squeeze to say the least. I wouldnt like to say if it would go in or not but I think it would be a tight squeeze in a viento

The chair of the motor clubs got one as a trackcar.
- Other than the fact it blow the head gasget on the way home and then failed its MOT on having not rear arches left so had never actually got to a track its been a storm.

This is it in its current form. Rear subframe off for archwork. *Some comic photoshoping may have occured.
