How sure are you of the country of origin of the loom. I just had a similar issue with a zx12 loom, has plugs i couldn't identify and it turned out i had a US loom instead of uk. Either that or could it be something aftermarket?

Looks like an american loom, the black block looks like the ignintion block, I don't think the uk one has the grey wire. I can have a look for you when I get in the garage tomorrow.

No mate, we have run with and without the exhaust valve and there is absolutely no noticeable difference in power or torque.

though you will need the electical unit to stop the FI warning lamp flashing constantly(hav'nt seen a bypass type unit for these yet)
you can use the zx10 one or one from a gsxr 1000 as they are the same( mines from a gsxr

I think the plugs/wires are the same from 04 onwards, you need one that looks like this.

but you dont need the cables etc

My FI light flashes until you start, Oil pressure increases and out it goes.

Assuming this is normal?

Red flashing LED is the immobilizer light with ignition off and oil pressure warning when ignition on, this flashes until oil pressure is achieved when the car is started
