postioning engine ready to mount
trying to get my engine in place now to get the brackets welded in but i think it needs to move over the passanger side abit more to get the sprocket
adapter to line up with the diff but there is part of the chassis in the way any sugestions would be very helpful also i can move it abit more forward
or backwards if needed how is it best postioned the bottom of the sump is currently about 2inches below the chassis here are a few pics to see what i
mean ps its the r1 5vy engine if that makes any difference

The engine looks about right to me, You'll struggle to get it far enough over so that it is inline with the diff. Not sure about others but
certainly on the Indy it is way over towards the drivers footwell and the prop goes at an angle down the tunnel mounted about 10mm or so off the
drivers side.
Might be best if you can try get the sump sitting flat aswell?

what do you mean flat as in level or flat with the bottom of the chassis at the minute the sump is running parllel with the floor

Before you weld in place are you going to make your own exhaust or buy one in ?
If its buy one in then purchase this, bolt on then align your engine, if make your own then its academic.
Also most BEC's have the engines following the side rails not in a straight line down the middle as you appear to have done,, this jinks the
sprocket over and helps the prop as these should not be directly aligned.

I,d take it right up to the bulkhead myself and twist it to align with the side rails.
