1- water supply to carbs, not needed bin em

2- ? not sure what that is without checking

3- crankcase breather, either stick a filter on it or leave the pipe open to air

4- not needed, sling the middle bit and join the two pipes together.

5- dunno but not needed, bin it

6- carb breathers, leave open to air.

2. is the outlet/inlet for carb coolant, just block it off.
5. is the (other)coolant feed from the water pump to the carbs. Pull it off the pump and block it off. I used a bit of the rubber pipe with a bolt jammed in the end.

Number 6 are indeed carb breather pipes.... They supply air to the non-vaccum side of the diaphragm. Leaving them open to air is the usual ploy though on the bikes they're often fed from the filtered air (infact the ST1100 has a little pre-filter just for them)....
If you're planning on doing Paris-Dakar you might want to filter them, and of course using a non-filtered source will effect tuning but then all the other factors also changing during a BEC install (exhaust, filter etc) usually mean that rejetting is required anyway....
