It's a FWD Ford Escort/Fiesta diff which has been converted to run outside the gearbox with sealed bearings, bearing mounts and a top hat thing to seal the differential for oil/grease

I think that particular diff/driveshaft setup is from an XR2 and it's non-lsd but it doesn't matter

Cheers

Thks David, can you tell me if that conversion is simple to do, or there are any manufactors that sell it already modified? Anyone that can make a sketche to do the conversion DIY?

Thks
Amadeu

I'm putting my chain drive together with the standard cossie limited slip diff used in the 7 kits, just removed from the casing - fitted with a custom sprocket with a top hat to keep the grease in

by building it from donor parts, mine has cost me £120 for the cossie rear axle inc diff and £35 for the custom sprocket. I couldn't find any other solutions for under £500

I seen a few piccies of this car, the diff always looks as if it's been pulled out of alignment

The box section he uses is tiny, I would be very surprised if it didn't move

Cheers
David

PS ZCars will also sell a modified sierra diff circa £500

£35 is about what I paid for my sprockets, I'd be surprised if you can find anything custom machined cheaper.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
