Locost seven by Ron CHAMPION + motorcycle engine + SVA

Hello everyone

I am giving the first steps in locost, but before start to make the seven with the book by RON CHAMPION, I have two questions.

Intending to use RON CHAMPION book, and intending to put a motorcycle engine, which changes are needed to the chassis so the engine can fit properly. Remembering that bike engines go in sideways the diagonal engine bay tubes will get in the way.

These changes to the engine bay eliminate the pass in SVA?

Thanks for all the help

Tiago

Welcome to the forum Tiago,

Bike engines are fitted in line with the propshaft in a 7. i.e. rotated 90 degrees from where it was in the bike. Mods to the engine bay generally consist of fitting a cradle for the bike engine to sit in. SVA should be no problem with this set-up.

HTH

The issues with bike engines are to do with emmissions and cats.
