ZX9 WIRING (NOT STARTING WHEN IN GEAR)

Have used full bike loom and clocks ,any idea why it will not start when in gear,must have missed something?

I thought that was normal on bikes. Don't they use the neutral light to disable starter?

Clutch switch?

You should be able to bridge across the neutral switch (this may leave the light on permanently) but will allow you to start the engine until you fix it properly.

Clutch switch and sidestand switch need bridging, most likely the sidestand switch is the one you've missed. I did. Mad Dave has a wiring diagram in his archive. Here's the bits you want. edit :- I think the neutral switch just switches the light on and off.
