John Isons old ISONBLADE what STEERING RACK
Need some help,
car failed mot on steering rack, company cannot refurbish old one, nor can they tell me what car it came of, was told it was mk2 escort, can
anyone help?

Jon's in Istanbul.
It would be a Mk2 Escort rack as it was a book chassis. I got one exchange for mine from PCS in Clay Cross, how far away are you.

took to my local accessory shop they told me its not mk2 escorts because the neck where the steering rod joins two is 3'' long on mine and
is 1'' on a mk2 escort,
PS only in retford

i belive there were 2 versions of the mk2 rack,1 long and 1 short stem,look at burtons (i think) it,s mentioned there

is it a cortina rack? think john may have used the cortina rear axle and rack? though i may be talking rubbish.
post a pic up, should help people identify it for you.
