CBR1000 Installation to Locost Chassis.?.?

Hi

I have a CBR1000 I intend to put in to a Locost chassis. Does anyone have any images, and suggestions for mounting.

Any thing I should look out for?

Thank you in advance.

James

Hi there,

Its an easy fit - the only thing to catch you out is the oil filter which on mine almost sits right on top of the chassis rail.

I know that the cradles are quite popular using the top mounts in the bike - this is how I've done mine though with solid lower mounts - nylon side mounts and an ali brace.

Hope that helps,

Yep,

Sump Sits below the chassis by about 2" should be ok without chopping I think and bonnet line should clear the rocker cover without a bulge - if all goes to plan!

Havent got any better piccies at the minute - will take some tonight.

Hi Mate,

I'm also busy with getting the honda engine in the chassis. I should be a very reliable engine with a little bid more power than a blade. Maybe in a later stadium a turbo

Hi
Im converting from cvh 1.6 with 4speed to cbr1000F -91.
The cvh +4sp are out of the locost.
Will get the cbr on tuesday.
Anything special to think about ?
I think some of you have converted from cvh to bike engine.
Going the electric reverse route.
The shifter , Is it possible to use a cable (clutch) ?
