Bloody iPhones!

Anyways what I ment to post....

Will a standard bike pump, pump from the tank to the carbs? I've seen a lot of people gravity feed the pump up into the engine bay?

What you looking for?

Bike pumps are OK down under the tank gravity filling.

That whatnot after?

A bike pump will work if installed in the engine bay but will have an easier life if gravity fed under the tank.

I thought I saw on here that bike pumps work better in the engine bay with a long draw length from the tank, or that they like that situation better

I've put in a bike engine over the winter and I've currently got the set up with the fuel pump just under the tank.

I've seen a lot of installs with the pump right next to carbs in the engine bay, guess il just give it a blast and see what happens unless someone on here tells me otherwise!

cheers for the responses,

Hi
On our R1 we have a ZX9R pump under the tank, copper pipe to
the front with flex each end & it works great.
Good luck

In the engine will work ok when the fuel eventually gets to the pump. Drawing it through won't be easy. On the zzr I had it took ages to draw the fuel up and did not sound happy pumping air through. Also cained my battery a lot which I was surprised with.

Thanks

Pump under tank works well.

The pumps don't suck air very well.
