From the discussion i had with them at stoneleigh i dont think it matters but best to ask MNR dont take my word for it
Be interested in how you rate the difference from your old 'popular' rev box Vs. the new MNR one, as my 'popular one is a bit on the
noisey side!

Spoke to MNR at stoneleigh.
I did say that my popular box did not see much use or abuse.
So although their box was nice I did not see any justification yet to change.
Two weeks later BANG whilst reversing
Glad it did not go bang a high forward speed.
So, now I have a MNR one.
Will post my findings later.

I would NOT use a suspect gearbox at speed.
If it seizes and your propshaft shears then i would guess you may lose the use of your legs
Yes I would consider selling the broken one.
I want to speak with the makers first.

if its not too badly damaged they are rebuildable - the popular box makers do a service kit for them for about £70-£80ish includes bushes, chain,
seals etc

I have heard the chain mentioned a few times now.
strange I have no chain in mine.
I Spoke to the Makers and asked them did they have two types and one using a chain.
A definate NO chain. and only one version of the box.
The guy on the phone was fairly helpful, although rightly reluctant to give a phone costing for repair.
From what I was told I guess upto £400.
The planet gear set as broken and even some gears have had the shafts sheared.
