R1 Throttle Return Spring

I'am looking to add a return spring to my R1 Indy throttle pedal to help add some more 'feel' and to stop me over reving the engine when its at idle.

I'd rather add it at the engine end if possibe, has anyone tried this? Its a 2003 Injected R1 if that makes any difference?
Thanks

i've used push bike cable, drilled a small hole in the throttle cable bracket, passed the new cable though and onto the standard throttle return part. then put springs with some chockblock to hold the tension. it's better but i think a spring on the pedal would be the best solution.
