Pop down to halfords you'll get two or three for the prices at trust,i've been told its a fiesta escort cvh filter thats shorter, champion part number is C104 and halford number is HOF 200.

I'm waiting confrimation that an even shorter renault filter will fit as well.

Crossland 659 / Coopers 107X / FRAM PH2874 (really short one)
Crossland 573 (slightly longer one)
coopers Z25 (longer)
Halfords 221/Champion C115 (same as above?)
Halfords 265/Champion C148 (very long - recommended part)

I use the shortest one - Crossland 659

tried the halford,s hof200 which is the champion alternative and is about 25mm to long starting to wounder if engine is positioned correctly but it does sit in the centre of the chassis and gearbox mounting not twisting

Just got the box out that my filter came in and it is a Purolator L17603, it fits the following cars:Renault R4 GTL-6/84, R5 TL, GTL 1.1-6/84, R9 1.1-6/84 and the R11 1.1 6/84. Cost me £6.58 from local factor, this should fit easy with no problems.

AC-Delco had a range of universal oil filters for popular models that because of "advanced design" were much smaller externally that the normal fittment.
I don't know if they still make them.

whatever you buy, get one with a bypass valve in it. (You can see the spring inside the oil filter). It might save your engine from damage.
