This has promoted a lot of very heated debate on a number of forums.
To sumaries,
people claim some of his statements about other engines are incorrect - this has led to people questioning his statements about the K.
Some of the statements about the K might be subject to 'marketing'. For example the crank supplied by company X was very unbalanced. People
questioned if company X supplied a bare crank or a balanced crank.
Some of the statements really upset people who have got vested interests which disagreed with what he's written.
There is a lot of positive written about 1 balancing company which caused a few people to wonder if there was a link.
The conculsion seemed to be that everything he's written makes good sense in the context its written. Everything he's said should be checked
when building a K in a road car.
Is he right or wrong, no idea, just giving a summary of 10 pages of discussion on an elise list.
(but for caterham installation the wisdom is the thermostat is in the right place as the cooling system is modified)

as for the through bolts, the boys at QED who tune these things use the original spec through bolts up to quite a high level of tuning!

In the Elise and indeed Libra and MGF when the stat starts to open it gets a rush of cold water that then closes it. Then it opens again, then it
closes etc.
I think stat on the top hose is best.....
