hey
i put some new indicators in front of my car.
And they word with led's
And now my indicators going fast like there is a bulb broken.
I am thinking a puting a resistor is in row with the front indicators.
Anybody got a hunch or experience what resistor i got to use?

Forget about the ballast resistors as they just produce heat - grab an electronic flasher from eBay.
Bodge way would be to wire in an extra bulb under the dash somewhere...
For value, a bit of ohm law...
21w at 12v = 1.75A
12v / 1.75A = 7ohms
Remember, the resistors will need to be able to handle 21w. You'll need the wire wound, ceramic coated ones. Probably have to settle for 2 x
15ohm (>10watt handling) wired parallel to create 7.5 ohms.

sorry to bring this one back to the top again but...
My indicators are going to fast.. I have normal 10w bulbs for front and sides but LEDs for the rear. the rears have the resistors wired in
parrallel though (resistors on a heatsink as supplied by SVC). i am also using a bright 6 module..
thought this would be ok but it seems not - should i just get a led type relay ?

21W bulbs fitted and all OK now!
