thinking of covering garage floor in foam exercise type matting. can any one recommend a supplier or perhaps a rubber alternative would be better?
how about that cheap thin carpet? i'm looking to cover my floor to make things a little more comfy.
carpet tiles! that way, if you spill stuff on them, take up the damaged ones and replace!
I use bathroom carpet is cheep waterproof and you can through it in the washer at the laundrette I also have a rubber backed industrial welcome mat
and it keeps the floor temp bearable! but my best bit of garage kit in this weather is one of these type of suit )mines arco freezer workmans
overall

Don't know how much you want to spend but Machine Mart do Clarkes Anti-Fatigue workshop floor tiles for £18.79 incl vat per pack of six which
cover approx 2.23 sq/mtr.
Worth a look on their web site.

Keeps your feet warm in winter
I'm going to get some of these for my next garage.
Non slip, be fine with a welder AND underneath they have channels, so shouldn't have a problem in case of any damp.
