i'm at the stage with my build where i need to install some brake master cylinders. i'm going to use a dual cylinder system. Standard mk2 escort rear drums and i belive standard cortina twin pot calpiers, not sure what mk it is as i didn't take much notice when i just ripped them off an ol cortina.
What size master cylinders should i use? same for front and back? what about a servo? should i run the system to diagonal wheels or just front and back?

I have a tandem master cylinder (20.64mm diameter) but I think the st'd sizes for a twin set-up are;

0.625" and 0.75"

Not sure which goes to which circuit but it's always split front/rear.

If you're using a bias bar arrangement you'll probably find that 0.625 / front and 0.75 / rear will be about right. Plumb them front / rear, not diagonally. No servo required.

For a tandem cylinder get a non servo VW Polo or Golf master cylinder they the right bore size are very cheap from places like French & German (mine cost 13 pounds) but you have to raid the scrappies for the resevoir.
