Hi guys,
I got question to guys who have fitted VAG calipers to their vehicles.
As I want to keep weight as low as it is possible I want to put those alloy calipers to my Haynes Roadster.
But got few questions.
Do you use original sierra carriers and put VAG calipers onto it, or do you use also VAG carriers.
I have trial fitted VAG caliper with sierra carier, sierra pads and disc, but I'm not very happy with this set.
Can you please advise if it is correct and would it work correct, or should I fit it with VAG carriers.
Also caliper comes into contact with arms on my 15' alloys. This happens because of caliper sticking about 1,5cm over carrier and over brake disc
level (see photo nr.2). There is no problem with 16', but I would like to have possibility to change wheels between 15 and 16 (for everyday use
and for trackdays).
I also have standart sierra set, but it is a bit heavier.

I have those calipers on my SEAT Toledo as standard fit, and they look pretty much spot on to me?
With regards to the 15" wheels, normal practice on SEAT is to use a 10mm spacer between disc and wheel, not sure whether that's an option
here? You might need longer studs, and I guess you'll need to make sure it still fits under the wheel arch?
Silly question time, while you're saving weight on the caliper, aren't you then gaining weight by having to use 15" or 16" wheels?
i have same idea, use only caliber and left sierra carriers
also should fit alfa romeo 156, volvo v40, mitsubishi carisma, opel astra/zafira caliber, try them

I've got them fitted to my haynes roadster.
I used the VAG carriers and the cosworth solid disc. Fits under my 15s ok, but mine are et16 offset.

They fit fine, the hole spacings identical
